Gala party

The gala party will take place at the Fabre MuseumFabre Museum in Montpellier.

The Fabre Museum is the main art museum in Montpellier. It was created following a proposal in 1824, of François-Xavier Fabre (1766-1837), painter and collector, to donate his collections to the city, provided that they were at the origin of a museum. It was installed in the Masilian Hotel, a 18th century mansion located east of the Ecusson, the historic centre of Montpellier, overlooking the Esplanade, in the immediate vicinity of Place de la Comédie.

Since its creation in 1825, the Fabre Museum has been constantly enriched thanks to donations or bequests from discerning collectors who have come to sublimate the 9,200m² of exhibitions. The richness of its collections, ranging from the Renaissance to the modern and contemporary, will arouse the interest of both specialists and non-experts alike. Participants in the GDR days will have the privilege of visiting the permanent collection of the Musée Fabre or its temporary exhibition in exceptional conditions with the museum's guides and lecturers.
